Meet Pastor Mark A. Valadez and Family

Pastor Mark Anthony Valadez was born in South Texas and raised in the Chicagoland area. Baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church at age ten, he strayed as a teen pursuing graffiti art and rap music, but God redirected his microphone to preaching Christ and distinctive Adventism.

Since their marriage in 1999, he and his wife, Margie, have served together in ministry. They have two children, Melanie and Mark Anthony II, and helped launch GYC en Español, where he served as President (2008- 2012).

Answering God’s call in 2010, Pastor Valadez has served in the Texas Conference for the past 15 years, most recently in San Antonio. He is eager to see what God will do at Grand Prairie Seventh-day Adventist Church as we lift up Jesus, share the Adventist message, and prepare for His soon return.

Welcome Valadez Family! We’re excited to officially “install” our new pastor, Pr. Mark A. Valadez, his wife Margie, and kids, Melanie and Mark Anthony to the GP church family! We look forward to growing together in faith and fellowship. 

Potluck – Today: All are invited to join us for this special potluck as we welcome in Pastor Mark Valadez and his family. Stay for some good food and fellowship. Kitchen crew families: Hamilton, Ferguson, Parra, Saint-Vil, and Sanchez 

Door-to-Door Evangelism – Sabbaths | 2 p.m. Join our literature team as we share God’s love and good news with our Grand Prairie neighbors. 

Clubs’ Induction Service – Tonight | 6 p.m. All are welcome to come out and support the club ministries’ Induction Service tonight. A haystack meal and refreshments will be provided after the program. We are excited to see so many of our youth involved in Adventurers, Pathfinders, and Master Guides. Please keep this ministry and the leaders in prayer this year! 

Church Cleaning Day – Tomorrow | 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with cleaning the church on the Sundays after potlucks, 8-10 a.m. All hands welcome! 

Prayer Meeting – Wednesdays | 7 p.m. Series on Christ Object Lessons. 

World Pathfinder Sabbath – Next Sabbath | 11 a.m. Pathfinder Day is a special opportunity to honor the calling, character, and community of our Pathfinder Clubs around the world. Our Pathfinders will lead us in a spiritually enriching worship service, and in celebrating 75 years of being “Pathfinders on Purpose!” 

Vespers/Gym Night – Nest Sabbath | 6:30 p.m. Celebrate World Pathfinder Day with us! Join the Pathfinders for an uplifting evening featuring a special message from Neville Gumba, followed by refreshments, table games, and volleyball. Let’s close the Sabbath together, side-by-side, in fellowship and joy.
